Magazine Spread Project

For this project, we were supposed to design a magazine spread tutorial about a technique to use with Adobe software. I chose this really cool photoshop effect, where you make an eye look creepy and demonic. For my magazine I chose the Photoshop User Magazine. Hope you like the design.

Travel Brochure Project

For this project, we were supposed to design a travel brochure. I chose Luxembourg as the destination, because I went there last summer with my family and we took took a number of pictures that I was proud of. Hope you like it.

Restaurant Menu Project

For our 3rd project we were supposed to design a restaurant menu. I used the menu of a restaurant in my area called Mai Thai Cafe and designed them a new logo and a menu. One of my favorite things that I worked on in this piece was trying to have the chopsticks blend in well with the title of the restaurant, instead of just being an image with a text.

Typography Typesetting

Our second project was to typeset a spread using our professor's lecture on the history of our letters. My design developed out of an exploration of the angles of Futura combined with the color schemes of Mondrian. Also, I had a lot of fun building a timeline into what is still essentially a prose piece. :)

Homage Piece

Our first project for Graphic Design 2 was to make a piece inspired by a famous graphic designer. I decided to make two. The first one I made was inspired by a magazine cover by Jacqueline Casey, a former swiss style graphic designer at MIT. The other one was inspired by Saul Bass's famous film posters.
